Engage your users and bring them back to your app with ZenAppBuilder’s powerful Push Notification engine.
- How to Send Notifications
Navigate to ZenAppBuilder > Notifications in your WordPress dashboard.
- Select App: If you have multiple apps, choose which one should receive the message.
- Compose Message:
- Title: The bold heading of the notification.
- Body: The main message content.
- Image URL: (Optional) Add an image to create a “Rich Notification.”
- Deep Link: (Optional) Enter an internal path (e.g., app://profile) to take the user to a specific screen when they tap the notification.
- Targeting:
- All Users: Broadcast to everyone.
- Specific Users: Search and select individual users.
- Roles: Send only to specific WordPress roles (e.g., “Students”).
Device Registration
ZenAppBuilder automatically tracks every device that installs your app.
- UUID Tracking: Each installation gets a unique ID.
- History: The system tracks which users have logged in on which devices, allowing you to target notifications accurately even if users switch accounts.
User Notification History
Your mobile app can include a Notification Screen where users can browse their history of received messages. This ensures they never miss an important update.
- Troubleshooting
- Expo Push Service: ZenAppBuilder uses Expo’s infrastructure. Ensure your generated app is correctly configured with your Expo project ID.
- Permission: Users must grant notification permission on their devices to receive push alerts.
